FINE SILVER BLACKBERRY LEAF WITH RUBY

An exquisite blackberry leaf which has a hole where the original had been chewed by a caterpillar! I loved it so much that I spent hours setting this gorgeous ruby into it to accentuate the hole. It is made from a real leaf which is painted with many layers of fine silver paste which turns to pure solid silver 99.9% when fired in a kiln. The leaf measures 48mm x 33mm and weighs 8.2g. The ruby is 3mm. I put a light patina on it to accentuate the vein structure and bring out the ruby colour. It comes with a 16" sterling silver cable necklet.
